Chief Executive Gabriele Diddi. Titolare dell'azienda di materiali tecnici tessili per calzature a Prato.

Gabriele Diddi

The history of Pranem began in 2011 in Quarrata (Pistoia) when Gabriele Diddi, moved by great passion, decided to carry on the family business, the Diddi & Gori company.

With over 50 years of experience and knowledge, today Pranem is able to adapt the technological offer to the changed market conditions, creating and proposing a wide range of technical textile materials including non-woven fabrics, jersey, warp-knitted, foams, films and tapes for footwear, available in several models: classic, sport, sneakers, mountain, work and safety.

The activity began with non-woven fabrics for midsole intended for strobel stitched sole shoes and a mostly Italian clientele.

The creation of a distribution network and the acquisition of market shares allowed Pranem to expand his business in both European and non-European markets.

The product portfolio now also includes non-woven fabrics for lining and insole together with a line for footwear with cemented sole.

Evolution

Aware of the strong competition from countries with low labor costs and animated by the passion for finding new solutions, the focus has been oriented towards the creation of textile materials able to offer the customer new technological opportunities.

Here Pranem begins to produce the high resilience Memory foam with its conductive version made for work and safety shoes.

Therefore, safety was considered a market with high growth potential, the need was felt to focus on creating new materials that would comply with the strict rules of the ESD (Electro Static Discharge) sector.

Pranem Today

Today more than ever, Pranem considers Eco-sustainability the main focus of its business philosphy.

The proof is given by all non-woven fabrics produced with recycled fibres from processing waste from the production of fibres, yarns and fabrics. The chemicals are water-based and solvent-free.

Recy and Safety multicolor items are the current evolution with the use of post-consumer fibers obtained from the recovery of various clothes and textiles otherwise destined for landfill.

The world is changing very quickly.

Pranem's goal is to remain at the forefront, always ready for changes in order to be a partner with whom to develop solutions.

All so that the customer is always in our thoughts.
