Recy 2020
for midsole 100% recycled fiber
thinking about a better world
The assembly midsole that comes from used clothes. Recy 2020, non-woven for strobel stitching midsole and Safety multicolor in the antistatic version. The perfect combination of eco-sustainability and safety.
Pranem has its origins in the historic district of Prato, a city famous worldwide for its ability to give new life to used clothes. Technological capital famous all over the world for the ability to give new life to used clothes and the recovery of all types of textiles properly processed to give rise to new fibers and fabrics.
Recy 2020 and its Safety multicolor antistatic version are made in 100% post-consumer recycled fibers. This means less energy consumption, avoiding the production of "new" fiber, and reducing waste to be sent for disposal in landfills.
All midsole materials produced by Pranem use pre and post-consumer recycled fibers.
For standard items, pre-consumer fibers come from processing waste in the textile supply chain, i.e. from the production phases of yarns and fabrics. In the case of Recy 2020 and Safety multicolor, post-consumer fibers come from clothes and furnishings otherwise destined for landfill.
The technical performance remains unchanged and the resistance to stitching, assembly and use are the same as traditional materials.
One element distinguishes the two products in question from the others: the color.
The appearance is multicolored and varies from one production batch to another due to the different textiles in use during the recycling phases.
It is obviously impossible to control the color because we can’t know in advance what clothes we are going to work.
After all, just this peculiarity is the proof of the ecological "value".
